Reflection:
January 5, I started a 30 day yoga challenge. This challenge has us doing yoga 6 days a week with one day being a day to reflect on the week.
As I’m closing in in the final two days of this challenge, I’m reflecting on the importance of trying new things that make me uncomfortable.
I have been dabbling with yoga for about a year. When the yoga studio I go to offered this challenge it felt intimidating but also intriguing. Challenge accepted!
I had never liked yoga. I knew it was good for my mind & body, but it was just something I never liked to do. One time I was asked what exercise I hated. When I replied yoga, my holistic doctor said that is the exercise that your body needs most. We usually resist the things our body craves because it’s new and uncomfortable. We humans always want to be comfortable.
It’s time to get uncomfortable. And I’m not just talking about the topic of exercise or health . You will notice the greatest changes in your life when you commit to discomfort. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Do it for YOU!
Namaste 🧘♀️
The purpose of going for a hike is not to get to the top. It’s to be on the trail. 🥾🥾
Sherry and I have traveled together for the last 6 years but our first 10 mile hike together was Mt. Leconte in Smoky Mountain National Park🏞️
Stay rooted in your becoming. No force outside you knows you better than your soul.
